ππΌββοΈThere are many ways to maximize your shoulder performance and there are 4 joints of the shoulder that have to move together like a symphony.
πͺπΌ Joint 1: (Scapular-thoracic) Big name for your wing-blade within your back. This joint moves the shoulder so that the ball and socket joint can reach overhead positions.
π Joint 2: (Acromioclavicular joint): The first of 2 joints at the end of the collar-bone. This joint rotates to give leverage to the ball and socket joint for overhead positions.
π Joint 3: (Scapulothoracic joint): This joint is the 2nd joint at the beginning of the collar-bone near your sternum and is the base for pivoting your collar-bone for overhead positions.
π Joint 4: (Glenohumeral joint): This is the ball and socket joint that people most likely think is the shoulder joint. This joint is for achieving arm movement and being able to place the hand into the air.
π€ If you are having pain within your shoulder this could be due to the inability of all 4 shoulder joints to work together.
