We use our hands to mobilize dysfunctional tissue and joints. This will assist you in a speedier, more complete recovery. Through the use of manual therapy, we are able to provide pressure and resistance when and where it is needed most to increase joint range of motion and tissue mobility.

Once the areas that require the most help have been identified, we will design a personalized comprehensive exercise regime. The goal of an exercise program is to re-educate and restore the strength and function of the muscles involved. The exercise program will be specific to the muscles which support and protect your injury or dysfunction.

The key to a complete and successful restoration of function is learning how to prevent an injury or dysfunction from recurring.

Physical Therapy Now provides services to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout life. This includes developing and providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury or disease. Functional movement is a central element in what it means to be healthy.

Physical Therapy Now in Cranberry Township, Fox Chapel, and Pittsburgh is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. It involves a process where movement potential is assessed and goals are agreed upon using knowledge and skills unique to physical therapists.

PTs utilize an individual’s history and physical examination to arrive at a diagnosis and to establish a management plan. When necessary, we incorporate the results of laboratory and imaging studies into our plan of care.
